Located in Chicago, Northwestern Law School builds a community between its faculty, students, and alumni. It is a private institute established in 1859. It is known for trial advocacy, clinical training, and tax law programs. Northwestern Law has dual-degree programs in business, international human rights, and tax law. The dual-degree program in business is associated with the Kellogg School of Management.

The law school offers seven concentrations in law and social policy, environmental law, civil litigation, appellate law, international law, business, and law scholars. There are degrees that are specifically for students interested in becoming international attorneys.

Northwestern law schoolNorthwestern law school students can get involved in research through the Owen L. Coon/ James A. Rahl Senior Research Program. There are study abroad programs in South America and Europe. Law students, who pursuing international law, have access to the Center of International Human Rights and the Journal of International Law and Business. Besides international law, Northwestern has a public service program. In the public service program, students can join the Public Interest Law Interest Group or join the Bluhm Legal Clinic.

In total, Northwestern has fourteen centers and over twenty clinics. The vast majority of students participate in the clinics during their time at the law school. Northwestern law school students can become involved in these clinics after they have reached their second or third year. Northwestern has a variety of law student organizations and societies. Northwestern is known for its two journals, the Northwestern Law Review and the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. Many students are involved in editing and proofreading articles for these law journals.

Northwestern law school has active alumni, who are regularly involved with admissions interview process. Many graduates pursue law and business, private law firms, and other organizations. Northwestern Law is one of the best schools for career opportunities in law after graduation.

February 15 is the deadline for regular admission. Decisions are made by the end of April.

Northwestern law school is one of the very few law schools (especially in the top tier) that will allow entering students to start outside the fall semester.
